What is your favorite brand?

10 years ago my sister called me so excited to relay that she just bought 3 pairs of socks for $1.99 from the GAP. You know the sock I’m talking about? The ribbed super tight tube sock that was impossible to get on but when you got it on it feels great. When talking about social media and how we interact with our favorite brand I can’t help but think of my ecstatic sister who was clearly participating in word of mouth marketing. To this day she wigs out about sales from the GAP and Target but they have yet hired her as a spokesperson.

Who are your spokespeople? When they call their loved ones what are they saying about your brand? Your brand may not be as massive as GAP but this example helps you think of taking care of your customers.

And to answer the question; my favorite brand right now is Outdoor Research. Their an outdoor clothing company that seriously took care of me last week for a warranty issue.

   Carls Jr loves me.
   No really, I have proof. He really does love me. Or maybe its just the girl in his PR office, but still. They love me.
   A few months ago I discovered the Carls Jr Spicy Guacamole Bacon Burger. It actually sounded horrible at first. But I was craving guacamole so I got it.
   And I loved it.
   So I Twittered it.
   And then I ate it again, and again, and again.
   Each time making a joke on Twitter about my love for this burger.
   Sure enough, it was only a matter of time before the Carls Jr Twitter account found me. And publicly thanked me! And then privately said thank you by asking for my address and sending me a coupon for another burger.
   By this time my love for the burger became an ongoing joke with me and the Twitter followers. I even created a new word for it, “I’m going guac burgering today.”
   And several of my followers on Twitter started telling me that they were going to go try out the burger just because I professed my love so often for it.
   To date I can count 8 fans of the guac burger who never would have tried it if I hadn’t kept talking about it on Twitter.
   Oh, and further proof that Carls Jr loves me? They have now sent me a $10 gift card, and 3 different coupons for free burgers.
   Trust me, I’ll continue to profess my love for them if its going to earn me more burgers.

   My shout goes to Wendys with their number 6 spicy chicken. They took it away for a while and I just about freaked. Were good now. Chase it down with a Dr. Pepper, another fav, and you my friend have a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

   These comments are making me hungry! My favorite brand right now is TW - for Tiger Woods. Wearing the hat easily takes a few stokes off my game each time I play, and raising it to the air always invokes a thundering applause from the gallery in my mind.
