IgniteHQ member Between Pixels is shooting commercials and content for big names such as Google, Arby’s Foundation, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken, Chick-fil-A, Home Depot and Kennesaw State University, but the company’s leaders will tell you Between Pixels is much more than a production house.
Video production guru Josh Peters teamed up with Marketing expert Bryan Owen to turn Between Pixels into a story driven video marketing agency.
We started off as a production company,” said Peters. “But, we quickly realized our content wasn’t reaching the intended audience. It wasn’t being delivered the best way possible. We needed to do something else to help our customers connect with their audiences better,” said Peters.
Josh Peters met Bryan Owen through a mutual friend.
With an extensive background in marketing and experience running an agency, Owen worked with Peters to integrate marketing services with the company’s offerings.
“Back in 2012, we saw video content as something that was going to be huge. Now, people realize video is the thing they have to have,” said Peters.
Between Pixels went from producing video content to doing complete wrap around campaigns including digital ads, fundraising content and ad placement. The company recently completed the entire digital online orientation experience for incoming Kennesaw State University students. They use marketing tools to measure the effectiveness of the produced content.
Today, Owen and Peters can be found working in full swing (gear and all) at their IgniteHQ office. Both say the community, flexibility and location attracted them to IgniteHQ.
“When we toured IgniteHQ we thought this could really work. The space, the community, its proximity to Marietta Square… all these things have been great! The managers have also been key in helping us connect with people important to our work. For example, the IgniteHQ team recently found us a makeup artist for one of our shoots,” said Peters.
This shoot was a Halloween themed campaign commercial for Secretary of State contender Rep. Buzz Brockway. The video received over 100,000 views after being picked up by mainstream media.
What’s in the future for Between Pixels?
Owen and Peters say they hope to grow to a 30 person staff in Marietta with multiple locations nationwide.
“We both live in Marietta. The Square has so much potential. It’s awesome to see the energy that has been put into downtown Marietta over the past few years,” said Peters. “There’s a huge growth opportunity here. We purposely established ourselves here to be a part of it.” Peters said.
