IgniteHQ Advisor-in-Residence Alfredo Narez’s expertise lies within the cross section of form and function. Alfredo has spent the better part of a decade driving technology and business model innovation for both enterprise and consumer at several companies including AT&T, web.com, Boom Financial, younity and Hux.
Narez touts his joint studies at the University of Southern California and the Art Center College of Design as “ahead of its time” as he focused on a comprehensive approach to designing and launching products by incorporating product strategy, human centered design and marketing.
Today, Alfredo advises IgniteHQ members on product design and market strategy, helping entrepreneurs ensure their products are aligned with customer needs. “Businesses of all sizes now realize that user-centered design is CRITICAL to building products that people love” says Narez.
When Alfredo isn’t busy being a design and marketing maverick, he is an Advocate at PADRES Contra el Cancer (parents against cancer) where he assists Spanish speaking families obtain optimal medical care for cancer stricken children.
Afredo is also a Founding Member of the Cristo Rey Network, a Network comprised of 26 quality, Catholic, college preparatory high schools for underrepresented urban youth. Narez has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from University of Southern California. He is a former visiting scholar at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and member of the Professional Institute of Data Communication Networks at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
