Ellen Hunter loves being an entrepreneur while at the same time positively impacting the world. As the founder of Impactive, a strategy consulting and technology company, Hunter has a direct hand in helping large nonprofits operate smoothly while bettering the bottom line.
“I enjoy most working with organizations where people are constantly thinking of how to make a difference in other people’s lives,” said Hunter.
Hunter says Impactive is a two-pronged company. On one side she and her team help clients improve strategy, internal processes and executive leadership through consulting. On the other side, Hunter is inventing new technology focused on project communication, and donor reporting and engagement. These are two areas that are essential to successful nonprofits.
“There are a lot of ways technology can help people engage in communities to make things better,” explained Hunter.
Hunter recently won a pitch competition in Atlanta and is currently in a secondary development phase of her technology for 2019.
Hunter splits her time between Atlanta and Washington DC where she continues to grow her business while also acting as a technology startup.
“I have more flexibility now to do the things that I think are most helpful. I get to be creative. I love being an entrepreneur,” says Hunter.
As a business owner and inventor, Ellen looks forward to assisting her fellow entrepreneurs at IgniteHQ.
“I can help businesses and nonprofits think through successful strategies for creating social impact,” said Hunter. “These days, many business are oriented toward both financial returns and social impact,” she added.
