IgniteHQ welcomes Kennesaw State University Interim President Dr. Ken Harmon to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of IgniteHQ. In addition, IgniteHQ is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its 2018 Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are Andy Crowe, Rachel Ford, Sharon Mason and Trey Sanders. The new members will join current IgniteHQ Board Members David Duley, Mark Lytle and Madhu Menon. Andy Crowe
Entrepreneur, author and speaker Andy Crowe is a thought leader in entrepreneurship, project management, program management, business management, and methodology. Crowe has penned multiple books in project management selling over 250,000 copies worldwide and is a regular speaker in the management world.
Crowe is the founder and CEO of Velociteach, an award winning Project Management Professional (PMP) exam preparation company. He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees for Town Center Community Alliance and Chairman of the Board of the Marietta Symphony on the Square.
Rachel Ford
Rachel Ford is the newly appointed Director of Techstars, a worldwide network helping entrepreneurs succeed through its startup and accelerator program, innovation partnerships and venture capital fund. Ford is a former instructor at VentureLab at Georgia Tech, an institute that works with faculty and students to create startups based on Georgia Tech research using evidence-based entrepreneurship. She is also the co-founder of FIXD Automotive, Inc., an application helping drivers better understand and maintain their cars.
Ford graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Biomedical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and is volunteer with the Human Rights Campaign.
Dr. Ken Harmon
Dr. Ken Harmon is the interim president of Kennesaw State University. He currently serves as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Kennesaw State University. Prior to this position, Harmon served as dean of Kennesaw State University Coles College of Business, the second largest business school in Georgia, since July 2009.
Harmon’s areas of expertise include accounting information systems, internal auditing, leadership development, strategic planning and business education. He previously was a staff auditor with Price Waterhouse, was president of his own software company, and has served as a consultant to numerous companies and universities. Harmon has been a journal editor, authored numerous publications and served on 10 editorial boards.
Sharon Mason
Sharon Mason is the President & CEO at the Cobb Chamber. As president and CEO, she leads the Chamber’s efforts to create jobs, strengthen the economy and quality of life for businesses and the community while building Cobb County’s reputation regionally, nationally and beyond. Mason has 15 years of chamber experience, including the past decade at the Cobb Chamber.
Mason is an Atlanta native and an active member of the Cobb County community including serving on the MUST Ministries Board of Directors, Marietta Rotary Foundation Director in 2015-2016, and Past President of Friends for the East Cobb Park.
Trey Sanders
As Regional President of construction firm Brasfield & Gorrie, Trey Sanders is responsible for the operations of the Healthcare and Senior Living market sectors in Brasfield & Gorrie’s Atlanta office, and the Commercial and Medical market sectors in the company’s Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina offices. He leads efforts in client development and service and oversees project operations in these markets. Sanders is also a member of Brasfield & Gorrie’s Corporate Strategic Planning team.
Sanders was recently named the 2018 Chairman of the Board of the Cobb Chamber. Prior to this appointment, Sanders was a Chairman’s Club member and served on the Board of Directors Executive Committee and as the Team CEO for the Brasfield & Gorrie Membership Campaign Team since 2015.
