How Much is That Doggie in the Window? The First Law of Marketing
October 9, 2018 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Why are diamonds more expensive than water?
After all, you can live without diamonds, but you can’t live more than three days without water.
This is known as the ‘Diamond-Water Paradox’ which economist Adam Smith [masked]) pondered yet was unable to solve. In 1871 Carl Menger published a new theory of value which contradicted Karl Marx’s labor theory of value. Menger believed that value is completely subjective: a product’s value is found in its ability to satisfy human wants.
Why the history lesson? Learning the value of value is imperative to be paid what you’re worth.

IMPORTANT: DON’T GET TOWED
The building next door to Ignite HQ is under new management. They will tow anyone that parks on their side. If there aren’t any spots left, there is a public lot for $5 a block away at the intersection of Waddell and Anderson.
You’re welcome to bring your lunch!
